Bishop Sankey, RB, Tennessee Titans

Bishop Sankey has continued to get more and more work as the season has gone on, with the Titans easing their likely future feature back into the lead role. Last week was his first performance in the NFL with nearly 20 total touches, and yet he still amassed just six fantasy points in a soft matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

It may be that Sankey needed to get more accustomed to the workload and responsibilities of the big time, but he had 32 NFL rushing attempts prior to this past week already, so that doesn't seem to be a great explanation. Shonn Greene remains out with a foot injury, so the job is Sankey's to seize; will he?

It's likely that defenses are keying in on Sankey as the largest threat in the offense with veteran backup Charlie Whitehurst under center. Jake Locker's arm strength and mobility provided a little more room for running backs to not have to deal with stacked boxes of defenders. Without that added threat, even the maligned Jaguars were likely plugging the line of scrimmage and daring the Titans to beat them aerially.

Now Tennessee travels to Washington, who are a naturally talented run-defending team (11th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP, and holding running backs to the fourth-fewest fantasy points) and figure to lock up the rush yet again. Sankey has great opportunity and good enough talent to be usable in fantasy, just not in Week 7.
