Browns, Redskins, and Ravens On The Move

Not only can we track the changes in play-calling of teams with new offensive coordinators, but we can see if they are more efficient than the year before. Thanks to the numberFire Adjusted Net Expected Points (NEP) metrics, we can look at how big - or small - of an impact (when adjusted for strength of schedule) the new coordinators have had since taking over three weeks ago.

According to our Adjusted Offensive NEP per play (NEP/P), the three teams that have seen the biggest positive change are the Browns (0.19 points per play increase), Redskins (0.16), and Ravens (0.15). Each of these teams currently rank in the top half of the league in offensive efficiency, with the Browns coming in at fourth in our efficiency ranks. Meanwhile, the Titans and Chargers have taken a slight step backwards in offensive efficiency.
