5 Late-Round Quarterbacks to Target on Draft Day

While Palmer turned things around during the second half of last season, Eli Manning was nothing short of a dumpster fire the entire year. Manning’s -43.56 Passing NEP total was the third-worst in the NFL, and the worst season he’s put together, according to our metrics, since 2007. A lack of running game and offensive line play certainly didn’t help.

The Giants brought in former Green Bay Packers’ quarterback coach, Ben McAdoo, to fix things up, and they signed a nice all-around back in Rashad Jennings over the off-season as well. Though Hakeem Nicks is now out of the picture, the team has a pair of young receivers in Odell Beckham Jr. and Rueben Randle, and Victor Cruz is still a solid bet at his position as well.

If the stars align, Eli could find himself in high-end QB2 territory once again. He’s probably not a candidate to jump into every-week starter conversation, but he’ll be more serviceable than he was a season ago.
