The Kansas City Chiefs have not been a good real-world defense, ranking 31st against the run and 26th overall, per our metrics. In fantasy and DFS, though, the Chiefs excel with over 8.0 FanDuel points per game, the sixth-most in the NFL. In five of their last six games, they have recorded at least eight FanDuel points while averaging 9.7 over their last three.
They get the job done by racking up sacks -- their 39 are second-most in the league -- and turnovers -- 1.7 per game. The Chiefs also sit third with 79 quarterback hits while forcing the sixth-most fumbles. This week, they face a Baltimore Ravens squad that has been on a roll, winning three straight with rookie Lamar Jackson under center, but they are still prone to mistakes.
In Jackson’s three starts, he has tossed three interceptions while fumbling five times against some of the softest defenses in the league (the Bengals, Raiders and Falcons). While he has been getting the job done with his legs -- 88.3 rushing yards per game -- Jackson's arm has underwhelmed. The 2016 Heisman Trophy winner has tossed just one touchdown in three games while averaging less than 7.0 yards per attempt. The Ravens, under his helm, have managed just five offensive touchdowns in three games.
