Ian Thomas, Carolina Panthers

Last Sunday, Carolina Panthers' tight end Greg Olsen suffered a season-ending foot injury. His absence is a big hole to fill as he ranked fourth on the team in targets (38) and third in red-zone targets (6) and touchdowns (4) in just nine games played. Stepping up in his absence will be rookie Ian Thomas. The role is not an unfamiliar one as Thomas played over 80% of the offensive snaps in the three games Olson missed earlier this season.

In those three contests, Thomas collected 14 total targets, hauling in 8 of them. With Olsen out the majority of the game on Sunday, the rookie tight end filled in admirably yet again, racking up 5 targets. He brought in all five of those looks for a respectable 46 yards, a career-high clip. Thomas finished as a TE1 (top-12) in Week 13 with 9.6 PPR points.

This Sunday, Thomas is well positioned to be a reliable tight end option as he faces the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns have given up the most catches (75) to tight ends this season, with opponents throwing an average of 9.3 targets per game to the position. Naturally, the Browns have given up the fifth-most PPR points to tight ends this year.
