Tight End

Chalk

Each week, rostering a quality tight end becomes a challenging exercise. Similar to quarterback, the tight end spot sees some big names off the board, including Travis Kelce, Jordan Reed, and Week 11's two-touchdown-scorer Gerald Everett.

Zach Ertz is easily the top projected tight end on the slate, at 14.3 FanDuel points, and combined with Rob Gronkowski (12.3) and George Kittle (10.3), they are the only three tight ends projected to hit double-digits.

For a cheap option, Jack Doyle ($5,500) is likely to be chalky thanks to an inflated implied team total and increasing snap totals over Eric Ebron.

Pivot

Evan Engram, TE, New York Giants: $5,800 (vs Philadelphia Eagles)

Let's get it out of the way; there are plenty of reasons not to roster Evan Engram this week. To save you some time, I'll make the counter-argument for you.

He's registered double-digit FanDuel points only twice this season. He's averaging only 7.2 FanDuel points per game this year. He faces a Philadelphia Eagles squad that has allowed the fourth-least points to opposing fantasy tight ends (6.6 points per game).

But here's a few reasons to consider rostering Engram -- the Eagles rank only 16th against the pass and have allowed 75 points in the last 2 games. Last week against the Saints, tight ends combined for 4 catches and 51 receiving yards. That may seem pretty mediocre at first, but consider that their six targets represented a solid 18.8% target market share. Factor in that Eli Manning should have plenty of time to throw -- the Eagles rank a mediocre 20th in adjusted sack rate this season (6.9%) -- and the Giants' passing attack suddenly seems like a pretty viable option.

We have Engram projected for 8.4 FanDuel points, but his tourney upside of 19.17 FanDuel points, or 3.31 points per $1,000, provides some pretty enticing value.
