Riddick Has Surprising Value with a Low Total

Low totals are not typically advantageous for offenses, but they have yet to affect Theo Riddick. In games with 46-point totals or lower, Riddick gets a 2.2 fantasy point bump. The most notable aspect of this split is the 1.4 increase in targets he gets. This is good news for Riddick as the Detroit Lions are underdogs to the Chicago Bears this week.

They will also do so without Golden Tate, who was their short-catch guy, with the lowest average depth of target (aDOT) this year. In Week 9, the Lions first game without Tate, Riddick was on the field for his highest percentage of snaps (55.71%) since Week 1.

With the potential for an expanded role, he is a sneaky add for teams in need of a running back this week despite a low total. He's also a cheap back to target at $5,100.
