Running Back

Chalk

This is the obligatory introduction where Todd Gurley has to be discussed, and for good reason -- the Rams running back is averaging an absurd 28.1 FanDuel points per game, so if you can afford his $11,200 salary, you play him. Period.

While his touches have decreased in recent weeks, Alvin Kamara ($8,000) should be in line to score some major points, and we have him pegged for 21.5 FanDuel points on the day. Especially if the Saints fall behind, Kamara could regain his monster work load.

And while the Cleveland Browns lead our metrics in total defense and passing defense, they clock in only 19th against the run -- that means Kareem Hunt ($8,500) could be a popular choice. Pegged for 17.6 FanDuel points, Hunt has crossed the 20-point barrier three times in the last five weeks.

Pivot

Nick Chubb, Cleveland Browns: $6,600 (vs Kansas City Chiefs)

Now taking over lead back duties thanks to the Carlos Hyde trade to Jacksonville, Nick Chubb has shown himself to be a pretty explosive back in 2018:

Chubb takes on a Chiefs rushing defense that has its own problems, ranking dead-last in the league per our metrics and allowing the second-most Fan Duel points to opposing running backs (29.4 per game). Despite being 7-1, they've been gouged by Phillip Lindsay (18 carries, 95 rushing yards, 1 touchdown), Sony Michel (24-106-2), and Matt Breida (10-90-0).

Even though he was just handed the reigns to the lead duties, Chubb has been pretty darn efficient. Among running backs with 50 carries or more (46), Chubb ranks fifth in Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per carry (0.15). If the Browns can keep things close against the Chiefs, Chubb could put up a monster afternoon.
