Receiving Market Shares

1.Sterling Shepard Pushing for Market Share

In Week 7, Odell Beckham saw 29.7 percent of the New York Giants' targets, but right behind him in second with a 27.0 percent share was Sterling Shepard,

Shepard's 14.1 average targeted air yards was also right behind Beckham's 15.5. In Week 7, Shepard netted the team's only receiving touchdown and doubled Beckham’s 6.2 average yards after the catch, with 13.2.

2. Tajae Sharpe Could be Part of a Rejuvenated Tennessee Offense

Tajae Sharpe had 57.45 percent of the Titans’ targeted air yards and posted a 77.78 percent catch rate in Week 7.

Corey Davis seems to be drawing all of the coverage and losing out on some volume in the process, leaving Sharpe to benefit over the last couple of weeks.

Per Next Gen Stats, Sharpe is also being given a lot of space to work, with an average cushion of 8.3 yards, possibly thanks to the coverage being so focused on Davis.

Sharpe's 9 targets on Sunday netted him 7 receptions and 101 yards, with only Dion Lewis getting near him yardage-wise with 64. If Corey Davis continues to see double teams and over coverage, Sharpe is a steal and could be a wide receiver two. During the bye week is a good time to see if he’s available, despite it being near the top of his value.
