Against the New York Giants in Week 6, it was Smallwood who stepped into the bigger role of the two. He was on the field for 62% of the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive snaps, compared to 37% for Clement, and had 18 carries and 2 targets to 11 carries and 3 targets for Clement.

While Clement had more of a role while Ajayi was active, it seems to be Smallwood taking Ajayi's spot while Clement plays an expanded version of his usual role, at least through one week. Smallwood has also been busier in the red zone, with 5 targets and 9 carries to 1 target and 11 carries for Clement, leaving Smallwood with more touchdown upside.

The Carolina Panthers aren't a matchup to get excited about, but with underwhelming running back value available this week, getting a starter priced below $6,000 is easy to like.
