A Teammate to Shine & A Quarterback to Sign

Robert Woods Will Outscore Brandin Cooks & Cooper Kupp

Robert Woods' 161 Air Yards from Week 1 were sixth most among all pass catchers. Combined with nine targets, the opportunity was there for an explosive day. But Woods only hauled in 3 balls for 37 yards.

The Los Angeles Rams battle the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2. Arizona yielded the sixth most Adjusted Passing Net Expected Points per play to the Washington Redskins a week ago. While all-pro defensive back Patrick Peterson will likely keep a tight eye on explosive playmaker Brandin Cooks, Woods could thrive as the unsung hero in this offense.

The peripheral numbers are there to support a Woods breakout, and against the Cardinals' leaky defense, I'm trusting the role and counting on Woods to dominate in this contest.

Mitchell Trubisky Will Finish as a Top-8 Quarterback

Case Keenum led the Denver Broncos to a win in the opener behind a 300-plus yard, 3-touchdown performance against the Seattle Seahawks. Now, Mitchell Trubisky gets the same opportunity with an even more talented cast and creative system.

The Bears were looking great on Sunday Night Football versus Green Bay until the wheels came off in the second half. New head coach Matt Nagy was using creative formations, targeting his explosive receivers, and scheming guys open. Then, the offense stalled in the second half, taking a backseat to an Aaron Rodgers performance to remember.

But we shouldn't forget what we saw. Trubisky is surrounded by weapons and is capable of putting the ball on the money to his playmakers. Couple that with his rushing ability, especially near the red zone, and a plus matchup and Trubisky can easily return value in this game.
