After missing the final two games of the regular season, Rex Burkhead is expected to return for the Patriots this week.

Following the Patriots Week 9 bye, Burkhead had been averaging more than 12 touches per game before he was injured in Week 15. Over that span, Burkhead handled 12 red zone carries, just 1 fewer than Dion Lewis, and Burkhead also scored a touchdown in five of six games, including two games with multiple scores.

Against the Titans, the Patriots are 13.5-point favorites and have an implied team total of 30.5 points, the highest on the slate. Burkhead has shown himself to be a red zone weapon, and with the Patriots expected to put up a big point total here, Burkhead is firmly in play, especially when he costs $1,200 less than Lewis.
