Corey Davis, WR, Tennessee Titans

Yahoo Ownership: 45%

Corey Davis was the first wide receiver selected in the 2017 NFL draft as the fifth pick overall. So this recommendation is not to say I think he will be an undraftable player in 2018. In fact, he's likely going through growing pains associated with being a rookie who was sidelined for an extended amount of time in the preseason due to a hamstring injury, along with a large chunk of the regular season.

But boy, things have not gone according to plan since Davis returned from another hamstring injury that had him miss Weeks 2 through 8.

In the five games since his return, he hasn't compiled a single 50-yard receiving game. In his past three games, he's accumulated only 19.2% of the Tennessee Titans' targets. And on a team with the eighth lowest pass-to-run ratio, that's not enough. Moreover, the targets Davis is receiving haven't been that valuable -- since his Week 9 return, he's only accumulated one game with over 100 air yards.

But even when given the opportunity, Davis has been surprisingly bad. His 0.26 Reception NEP per target ranks 6th on his own team among skill-position players with at least 25 targets, and ranks 127th out of 132 total players across the league with at least 40 targets.

Look, Davis definitely has some upside. And upside is what you want to have stashed on your bench when it comes to the fantasy football playoffs. But right now, there are some higher upside players -- for the rest of 2017 at least -- that may be unowned in your league.

As such, grab Marquise Goodwin or Jermaine Kearse, each who have more upside and target stability than Davis at this point.
