Seth Roberts Is the Number-One Receiver

The Oakland Raiders have yet to take the field without both Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree this season but will likely do so Sunday. Cooper has been all but ruled out with a concussion and Crabtree will serve a one-game suspension.

Seth Roberts has averaged a horrid 9.09% target share from Derek Carr, but has shown more recent success and prominent opportunity than either Cordarrelle Patterson and Johnny Holton. Roberts, for example, finished among the top 10 in red zone targets (21) and led the Raiders in targets inside the 10-yard line (9) just last season.

It only helps Roberts that the New York Giants are currently ranked 21st against the pass and Oakland has amassed the sixth-highest passing ratio (62%) in the red zone this season.
