Josh Doctson's Breakout Is Imminent

With Jordan Reed and Terrelle Pryor in and out of the Washington Redskins' lineup the last five weeks, Josh Doctson has seen his opportunities continuously increase.

Doctson's averaged an 86.38% snap rate over his last five games, a mark 24.67% higher than his season average (61.71%). His overall target share in the last four games (15%), albeit fourth-highest on the team in that span, has also stayed consistent in every outing (12%, 16.1%, 15.5%, 22%).

Chris Thompson accounted for 24.1% of Washington's carries and -- perhaps more relative to Doctson -- 23.4% of targets and 18.2% of the team's receiving yards. With those totals now missing from week-to-week, there's no better time than now for Doctson to finally emerge.

It only helps that the New York Giants rank 22nd-overall according to Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP.
