10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 8

Dion Lewis has been trending up recently, so it's a little surprising that his ownership percentage isn't higher. His snap shares have increased in each game, while his carries have increased in each of the last five. If the folks in your league have been sleeping on him, make sure to add him this week from your waiver wire.

It's funny Lewis has gone from virtually an afterthought during the draft season -- he was the consensus 207th overall pick per the FantasyPros ADP rankings -- to the Patriots running back to own in just a matter of weeks, but here we are. Lewis finished Week 7 with a team-high 13 carries for 76 yards, adding 1 reception for another 6 yards.

An important piece to note is that Lewis out-touched Mike Gillislee 14 to 8 in the Pats' 23-7 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Even in a positive game script, Lewis was involved throughout. He didn't cede much clock-grinding work to Gillislee and he offers more chops in the passing game when a negative game script arises.
