Every once in a while, I find myself with an urge to use a player who could absolutely destroy my lineup. Whether hopeful optimism or masochirm, that urge is leading me in the direction of Blake Bortles this week. The Jacksonville Jaguars' quarterback has helped lead the team to a winning record by, well, not using his arm very often.

The Jags have wisely relied on defense and pounded the rock with rookie running back Leonard Fournette, which has limited turnovers and led to three wins, matching their output for all of 2016. Though the coaches could once again limit Bortles' touches, the Indianapolis Colts represent a chance for the former Central Florida Knights star to shine.

The Colts are not only giving up the third-most points per game to quarterbacks, but they have given up at least 18.24 points to the position in every game this season and are the worst team against the pass, per our metrics. While we project Bortles for 17.8 points, it would be wise to limit your use of him to tournaments. He's passed for multiple touchdowns only once and has not passed for more than 244 yards in a game.

Bortles is not the garbage-time champion of old, but sometimes, change is good.
