Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Week 7: Blake Bortles Can Deliver in a Nice Spot

Streaming Blake Bortles never feels good, but gosh darn it, he's in a pretty nice spot this week as the Jaguars hit the road to take on the Colts.

The Jags are good now -- actually (wait for it) the best team in the NFL so far in 2017, according to our nERD metric -- and that's had a negative effect on Bortles' fantasy value. With such a strong defense, Jacksonville has been content to pound Leonard Fournette and limit Bortles' impact on the game.

With that said, Bortles has still attempted at least 31 passes in four of his last five outings, and the Colts' defense presents a dope matchup. Indy has the league's worst pass defense, per our schedule-adjusted numbers, and they just allowed a clearly hobbled Marcus Mariota to pass for 306 yards with 1 pick and 1 touchdown.

Jacksonville owns the week's ninth-best implied total (23.5), and our projections have Bortles ranked as Week 7's QB12. That alone makes him worthy of streaming, but if a banged-up Fournette -- he's expected to play -- ends up not being as effective, the Jags could be forced to lean more heavily on Bortles.
