Trevor Siemian, Denver Broncos

Yahoo Ownership: 42%

In a game that he missed some time with an injury scare and his team put up their worst performance of the season, Trevor Siemian still passed for 376 yards, adding a touchdown and 2 interceptions against the New York Giants. Those 17.9 fantasy points may not sound sexy, but they were good for ninth-best at the position heading into Monday night, better than both Tom Brady and Drew Brees in Week 6.

It's the continuation of a quietly effective season for Siemian; the second-year 'slinger is now 15th in per-game scoring at the position with an average of 17.4 points in his five starts.

Our rest-of-season projections are a not quite as bullish on Siemian, forecasting him with the 23rd-most fantasy points among quarterbacks heading into Week 6 (all of our rest-of-season projections will be fully updated on Tuesday).

Rank Name Fantasy Points Pass Yards Pass TDs
19th Derek Carr 174.04 2,603.54 17.06
20th Jared Goff 173.12 2,701.92 18.21
21st Carson Palmer 169.16 2,919.05 16.85
22nd Kevin Hogan 168.88 2,767.00 14.98
23rd Trevor Siemian 167.68 2,831.07 16.10
24th Andy Dalton 164.64 2,554.76 17.94
25th Joe Flacco 161.45 2,619.99 15.49

Still, that projection is nearly on par with passers such as Carson Palmer and Derek Carr, both of whom have much higher ownership numbers in fantasy football leagues than Siemian does. Speaking of Palmer, he is another candidate to replace Rodgers on your fantasy team if he's available, though he may already be owned in your league.

Again, Siemian is not a set-it-and-forget-it option, but he should provide some quarterback relief in good matchups.
