Use Mark Ingram All Day

It didn't take long for the New Orleans Saints to realize that Adrian Peterson is likely washed up, thus his trade to the desperate Arizona Cardinals. Despite a likely Hall of Fame career, he's still a 32-year-old running back who has only played in 20 games between 2014-16. After a quick review of record book, father time is indeed still undefeated.

While most are excited to see what rookie Alvin Kamara can do, the biggest winner here is Mark Ingram. He's coming off a season-high 62.16 percent snap rate and has seen his touches increase week over week. The matchup against the Detroit Lions is little worrisome on paper, as they rank inside the top-5 rush defenses in our metrics. However, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome is the Coors Field of the NFL, so expect to see a lot of points scored. After all, the Saints carry the 5th-highest implied points total and are home favorites.

For a featured back, Ingram is extremely affordable in daily fantasy. On FanDuel, you need to keep scrolling to find him outside the top-20 in terms of price at the running back position. Owners in season-long redraft leagues would be wise to buy high on Ingram before the fireworks display happens.
