Deshaun Watson Has Thrown 9 Touchdown Passes Over the Past Two Games

After beginning the season on the bench and then totaling just 3 touchdown passes over his first three games, Deshaun Watson now ranks 2nd in the NFL with 12 touchdown passes. The Houston Texans had just 15 touchdown passes all of last season.

Only seven other quarterbacks have thrown at least 9 touchdown passes so far this year. And Watson has cut down on his turnovers, as he has thrown just 1 interception in the past two weeks, compared to 3 over his first three games.

His 0.21 Passing NEP per drop back ranks 9th among all quarterbacks with 20 or more drop backs this season. That represents a significant improvement over the -0.04 that Brock Osweiler led the Texans with in 2016.

Watson is currently on pace for 38.4 passing touchdowns this season, which would shatter the Texans' previous team record of 29 set by Matt Schaub in 2009. Next up, he will tee off on the Cleveland Browns, whose 2.2 passing touchdowns allowed per game this season is tied for the 3rd-most in the league.
