Randall Cobb Will Be a Top-5 Wide Receiver

Why This Is Bold: Randall Cobb is 16th in PPR scoring per game among wide receivers this season and has to coexist with a top-12 receiver in Jordy Nelson.

Why This Will Happen: Davante Adams, recovering from a concussion off a brutal hit, has been limited in practice this week. It would be great to see him play, but there's a chance the Green Bay Packers play it safe and hold him out -- which would further funnel targets towards Nelson, Cobb, and Geronimo Allison.

Given this week's bye week landscape, Cobb should be an easy start, but I think he's one of the week's top plays.

Dallas is vulnerable to slot receivers, an area where Cobb thrives. Cobb's catch rate of 73 percent eclipses that of Nelson and Adams, and with Ty Montgomery looking truly questionable in this game, short passes to Cobb could be utilized heavily as an extension of the running game.

Green Bay has also shown a willingness to use Cobb out of the backfield on occasion, so if Montgomery misses this game, look for Cobb to be the main beneficiary.
