None of the top-10 priced receivers saw their price jump more than Brandin Cooks, who finds himself as the seventh-most expensive wideout on the slate despite just a so-so Week 1 performance. Cooks' 3 catches for 88 yards might not jump off the page, but he did account for 33% of Brady's passing yards and ranked third in the league in air yards, while drawing defensive pass interference calls on multiple occasions.
In a return to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome that has treated him so well from a fantasy perspective, Cooks will likely see his fair share of ownership. Don't let that scare you off him though, as his upside is through the roof with the New England Patriots boasting a slate-leading 31-point implied team total.
Stefon Diggs, Minnesota Vikings
Week 1 Salary: $6,600
Week 2 Salary: $6,500
Stefon Diggs was criminally underpriced last week in a beautiful matchup against the New Orleans Saints and then went on to absolutely crush value, posting 24.2 FanDuel points. Because that game took place on Monday night, though, Diggs now can be had for even cheaper than last week, coming in as just the 23rd-most expensive receiver!
He doesn't face the Saints this week, instead taking on a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that ranked sixth-worst against the pass last year according to our opponent-adjusted Net Expected Points (NEP) metric. The acquisition of Joe Haden didn't appear to do much for their secondary in Week 1, as they allowed Corey Coleman to catch 5 of 6 targets for 53 yards and a score.
Diggs' teammate, Adam Thielen ($5,800), also didn't see the price spike he should have, and finds himself just $100 more expensive than he was prior to a 157-yard outburst. Both are terrific values and viable plays against a suspect Pittsburgh secondary.
