Eric Ebron, Detroit Lions

ESPN Ownership: 51.2%

Eric Ebron disappointed in Week 1, catching two of three targets for just nine yards. However, it wasn't for lack of playing time, as he saw 71.8% of the team's snaps against an Arizona Cardinals defense that is tough against tight ends.

With Anquan Boldin off the roster, it wasn't crazy to think that Ebron would step into a larger role this season, particularly in the red zone. That didn't come to fruition this past weekend, as it was instead the one they call Babytron, Kenny Golladay, stealing the show. However, Ebron should receive a lot more love from Matthew Stafford this week as the Detroit Lions take on a New York Giants defense that funnels targets to opposing tight ends.

Their group of corners make life tough on the outside, and they ranked eighth against the run according to our opponent-adjusted Net Expected Points (NEP) metric, forcing opponents to beat them with short passes over the middle. Opponents threw the ball to tight ends 8.7 times per game against New York last year, which was the fifth-most in the league. If nothing else, the volume should be there for Ebron in this one.
