Los Angeles Rams

Top Needs: WR, TE, IOL, OT, CB, S

We’re going to give the Los Angeles Rams a pass on the probably talented players at quarterback and running back, who were undone by the adventures of possibly the league’s worst offensive line. The Rams’ blockers played a big part in an offense with the third-worst Sack NEP and fourth-lowest Rushing Success Rate in 2016. Add to that concerns about the second-worst receiver group by Reception NEP per target that will likely lose Kenny Britt and Brian Quick to free agency this year, and the offense needs an overhaul.

The defense is getting a makeover too, going to a 3-4 defensive front. They could need to acquire legitimate defensive ends for this front and more traditional outside linebackers for a 3-4. The biggest needs, though, are with a secondary that’s likely to lose top-tier safety T.J. McDonald and cornerback Trumaine Johnson. Without stopping valves behind the defensive front, they'll hemorrhage points no matter how good their offense becomes.

Plus, they traded the fifth overall pick this year in order to get their franchise quarterback in 2016. It's going to be that much harder to fix their lacks without that high-end draft value.
