Indianapolis Colts

Top Needs: RB, OT, ILB, OLB

The Indianapolis Colts always seem to put themselves just a bit out of reach of playoff contention. Like the Panthers, the Colts refuse to give franchise quarterback Andrew Luck a competent offensive line. They were just 14th in Rushing Success Rate and had the 2nd-worst Sack NEP in the league.

In addition, though running back Frank Gore was once a perennial All-Pro, he is now going into his age-34 season and led just the 20th-best backfield by Total NEP per play. They need to find his eventual replacement sometime.

Worse still, the defense showed up as the sixth-worst pass defense and seventh-worst rush defense by our metrics. Outside linebacker Robert Mathis is ancient, and veteran inside linebacker D'Qwell Jackson had another crummy year despite topping 100 tackles across 700 snaps, earning his release. The Colts also declined to retain safety Mike Adams, so the secondary needs some assistance.
