The Atlanta Falcons were absolutely historic this year in how great of an offensive attack they assembled, so it’s hard to poke holes in this incredible unit. The one area they might improve is at the offensive tackle position, where they allowed the fifth-most Sack NEP in the league.

Where they can truly become a championship team is by plugging holes in their front-seven. The Falcons were 11th-worst in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play. Defensive end Dwight Freeney had another great season but is older than dirt, and pass-rusher Vic Beasley had a rough season but still has youth and sky-high potential. Creating more impact up front can help the secondary perform.

They also had the second-worst Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play, which means defensive tackles Grady Jarrett and Ra'Shede Hageman might need to be upgraded on -- or at least spelled and helped. Linebacker De'Vondre Campbell has starter potential but needs time to grow in the run game, and the Falcons need another starter-worthy body to take the strong-side role.
