If you haven't noticed, a little trend has developed here. We've already talked about Brady's 2010 and 2012 seasons, and right in the middle is the second greatest season of his career, as part of a big three-year run in his prime.

Now, Brady threw eight more picks in the next season, but he also exceeded his 2010 totals by three touchdowns and more than 1,300 yards. His completion percentage of 65.6% was almost identical despite a higher average yards per pass attempt. He also recorded the most yards per game of his career, with 327.2 per matchup.

In Brady's age-34 season, Tommy Terrific added 0.35 Pass NEP per drop back, or 0.2499 relative to the NFL's 0.100099 average. His total Pass NEP of 213.43 is the second-best mark of his career.

As we know with Brady, second-best doesn't cut it. So, it's only fitting that the Patriots didn't win the title nor did Brady earn the MVP in 2011. Ultimately, Brady and the Pats fell short to the New York Giants in Super Bowl 46.
