David Johnson Leads All Running Backs With 800 Receiving Yards

David Johnson is actually tied for the 32nd-most receiving yards of any player in the NFL this season. Only three tight ends have managed more receiving yards than Johnson, and every other player above him is a wide receiver.

There are eight teams in the NFL right now that don't have a single player at or above the 800-yard receiving mark.

If Johnson can maintain his current average of 57.14 receiving yards per game over the rest of the season, he will finish with 914.29 receiving yards. That would be the third highest season-total ever by a running back, and the best mark at his position since 2002.

Johnson also currently leads all running backs with 73 receptions through 14 games, which would put him on pace for 83.43 over a full 16-game season. That would put him ninth on the the all-time list. Amazingly, Le'Veon Bell is actually averaging more receptions per game than Johnson. Bell would be on pace for an NFL record 104.73 receptions this season had he not missed the first three games due to suspension.

In Week 16, Johnson will get a rematch with the Seattle Seahawks, who let him catch 8 of 13 targets for 58 receiving yards back in Week 7 of this year.
