Brandon LaFell, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

FanDuel Price: $5,800
Salary Change: Up $900

After Brandon LaFell saw his salary peak at $6000 in Week 8, his salary steadily decreased to his $4,900 low point last weekend. However, with his 18-point performance and impending matchup with Cleveland, his price has jumped $900 in Week 14.

Since A.J. Green injured his hamstring, LaFell has been the top option in the passing game, commanding nine, nine and seven targets in each of the last three games. He still has a low floor, even with his increased involvement -- he scored less than 6.0 FanDuel points in two of those contests.

Many DFS owners will see the Cleveland matchup and get excited, but they haven’t allowed a 100-yard receiver since Week 7. With their inability to stop the run, opposing offenses are more likely to pound the rock than air it out.

The total for this game is just 42.5 points, which is just another reason the Bengals likely won’t be passing very often.

LaFell is a boom-or-bust option that we certainly can’t use in cash games, but can we use him in tournaments? In short, no. His salary bump plus his projected popularity due to the recency bias of his most recent performance makes him an easy fade.
