Running Backs

High-Cost Option: David Johnson ($9,500)

This week's biggest debate in cash games is between David Johnson ($9,500) and Le'Veon Bell ($9,200). Johnson has a favorable matchup as 2.5-point home favorite against Washington. Washington is 27th against the run, according to our metrics, and has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing backs. They rank dead last in FootballOutsiders' Run DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average) and have allowed the second-most rushing touchdowns. Johnson is averaging an obscene 27.3 DK points per game and 24.1 touches per outing, making for a fantastic cash or GPP play.

Mid-Cost Option: Doug Martin ($5,700)

Over the past two weeks, we've seen Doug Martin garner 25 and 27 touches, respectively, in back to back games. He has taken back the bellcow role he had earlier this season, seeing heavy touches and snaps. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers enter this matchup as four-point road dogs, which could lead to them being forced to pass to keep pace in this game. San Diego has really struggled defending running backs in coverage, allowing the second-most receptions and fifth-most receiving yards to opposing running backs. The Chargers rank ninth against the run, per NEP, but they have allowed the fourth-most rushing touchdowns. That combination of receiving upside on DraftKings with strong touchdown potential makes Martin a great value play this salary.

Low-Cost Option: Jeremy Hill ($4,200)

Jeremy Hill is inexplicably priced at $4,200 this week after coming off a season-high in both receptions and receiving yards in the Cincinnati Bengals' first game without Giovani Bernard. He draws the Philadelphia Eagles this week. The Eagles' defense has allowed nine different running backs to reach double-digit fantasy outings. With Hill's pricing, that's about where he needs to finish to reach cash-game value. Hill has averaged 18 touches over his last four games and should be in line for a high number of touches again as Cincy's lead back.

Other Options: Le'Veon Bell ($9,200), LeSean McCoy ($7,800), Jordan Howard ($6,900), LeGarrette Blount ($6,300), Carlos Hyde ($5,300)
