Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans Saints

FanDuel Price: $9,300
Salary Change: Up $700

By now, Drew Brees’ home/road splits are well known. Inside the Superdome, the Saints’ offense is nearly unstoppable regardless of opponent. Despite two home matchups against Denver and Seattle, Brees’ home numbers have been off-the-charts this season:

A week after scoring 32.5 FanDuel points against the Rams’ defense, Brees will stay in New Orleans in Week 13 to face the Detroit Lions. The Lions have allowed the sixth-most FanDuel points to opposing quarterbacks, including two 30-point performances from Andrew Luck and Case Keenum (of all people).

It won’t be cheap to roster Brees -- his salary has climbed $700 and he’s the most expensive quarterback of the weekend at $9,300. But because of his matchup and the Saints’ Vegas implied team total of 29.75 points -- the highest in Week 13 -- it’s worth paying the price. In cash games, Brees is an excellent anchor with a well established floor.

In tournaments, he’s also an elite option because of his massive ceiling when playing at home. Since there are so many games, we never truly have to worry about ownership percentages at the quarterback position in large-field GPPs -- we’ll rarely see a signal-caller owned in more than 15 percent of lineups.

So, start all of your lineups, regardless of format, with Drew Brees despite the expensive price tag.
