A profitable DFS strategy this season has been to look at the NFL schedule and just slot in the D/ST who is facing the Jacksonville Jaguars. After all, they have committed 22 turnovers this season -- only one other team in the league has more giveaways. Your eyes should light up when you see the dominant Denver Broncos as the Jags’ opponent in Week 13.
The Denver D/ST has been a very consistent fantasy option this year, scoring fewer than 5.0 FanDuel points just twice this season. With their ferocious pass rush and ball-hawking secondary, it’s not surprising that they’ve scored 10-plus FanDuel points on four separate occasions in 2016.
Denver is our second-ranked defense this week, and we project them to allow the fewest points (14.68). Jacksonville has the second-lowest implied Vegas total this week (18 point) as 4-point underdogs at home in a game with a super low total (40).
The Broncos aren’t cheap with a $5,000 price tag, but you’re paying for a safe floor. The Jaguars likely won’t score many points, and when their offense takes the field, the probability of a sack or turnover is extremely high. Combined with their high upside, the Denver D/ST is the top play in all formats if you can afford them on Sunday.
