LeGarrette Blount, RB, New England Patriots

FanDuel Price: $7,300
Salary Change: Up $900

It’s become common knowledge in the fantasy world that LeGarrette Blount is an excellent play any time his team his favored by a touchdown or more. The premise is simple -- Blount isn’t heavily involved in the passing game, so he performs better when his team is winning and feeding him the ball.

Since the beginning of 2014, Blount has averaged 13.9 FanDuel points per game, while reaching cash game value 50 percent of the time, when his team is favored by seven-plus points. In that span, he’s also produced four games of at least 22 FanDuel points. Both his floor and ceiling are raised dramatically when his team projects to have a run-heavy game script.

He’s also seen increased opportunity since Tom Brady returned from his suspension. From Week 5 on, Blount has averaged 18.8 carries and 1.6 touchdowns per game, while receiving 26 total red zone opportunities.

He gets a cake matchup this week against the 49ers, who are allowing 30.9 FanDuel points per game to opposing running backs, the worst in the NFL. In nine games, all but two opponents produced a 100-yard rusher against them. Blount has one of the highest ceilings of any running back this week and is a great play in all formats despite his $900 salary increase.
