Arizona Cardinals vs. San Francisco 49ers

Over/Under: 48.0
Cardinals Implied Team Total: 31.0
49ers Implied Team Total: 17.0

The 48-point over/under in this game doesn't jump off the page, but the Arizona Cardinals are listed for easily the highest implied team total of the week (31). The 14-point spread is also the largest on the slate by a large margin.

David Johnson, RB, Arizona Cardinals

FanDuel Price: $9,400

David Johnson is going to be all the rage this week, and for good reason. It's not often that you get the leader in FanDuel points per game against the team allowing the most FanDuel points per game to running backs. San Fran ranks dead last in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play, as well as yards per carry allowed (5.3) this season. Over their past three games, they have allowed running backs to post an average line of 241 rushing yards and 2.3 rushing touchdowns against them.

Thanks to their struggles against the run and the fact that they continue to find themselves in negative game scripts, San Francisco easily has seen the most rushing plays run against them per game (36.8). As mentioned previously, running backs for winning teams have seen big boosts in production historically, which makes a lot of sense when considering the 1-7 49ers' struggles against running backs.

If Arizona hammers the Niners like Vegas sees them doing, there's some concern that Johnson is rested some in the second half. In a 38-to-8 thrashing of the Green Bay Packers last season, Johnson started the game but ended up only carrying the ball 9 times, ceding 15 carries to other runners. In a 40-to-7 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier this year, Johnson was handed the ball only 12 times, watching 18 attempts go to other Cardinals. However, there is immense upside if he is given a full workload in a blowout, as evidenced by the 29 carries for 187 yards and 3 touchdowns he put up in a 40-to-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles last season.

Arizona Cardinals Defense

FanDuel Price: $5,200

Arizona D/ST is the most expensive defensive unit on the slate, thanks in large part to their opponent. The Niners easily have the lowest implied team total (17 points) on the slate, and with Colin Kaepernick at the helm, the potential is certainly there for sacks and turnovers for Arizona's aggressive defense. Since taking over as the starter, Kaepernick has already taken eight sacks in three games, while fumbling four times and throwing two picks.

Arizona's defense is an awesome standalone play this week and also correlates nicely with Johnson if you want to stack them.

Others to Consider

Michael Floyd barely played while nursing a hamstring injury in Arizona's last game and appears to have been phased out of the offense, being replaced by J.J. Nelson, who has been named one of Arizona's starting wide receivers going forward. Nelson is coming off of an 8-catch, 79-yard, 2-touchdown performance against the Carolina Panthers and is the only starting receiver not limited heading into this week, as both John Brown and Larry Fitzgerald are dealing with injuries. Nelson has 19 targets over the past two weeks and is an intriguing risk-reward option at just $5,600.
