FanDuel Salary Changes: Week 8

If you’ve played DFS or season-long fantasy football for any period of time, you’re aware that Drew Brees has some pretty extreme home-road splits. He was actually great on the road last week against the Kansas City Chiefs, but that performance alone wasn’t enough to come close to matching his numbers at home this season:

Now, in Week 8, Brees is coming back home to New Orleans, but his salary has actually decreased $500. The main reason for this is his matchup -- the Seattle Seahawks have allowed just four passing touchdowns this season. However, things haven’t been the same since Kam Chancellor injured his groin in Week 4.
In the Seahawks’ last two games without Chancellor, they’ve allowed 342 and 335 passing yards to Carson Palmer and Matt Ryan, respectively. It took Palmer 49 attempts to reach that total, but Ryan legitimately shredded the Seattle defense. We shouldn’t be scared to use Brees in this spot, given Chancellor is out again and Brees has historically fared very well versus top-10 pass defenses:

Brees’ ownership will be depressed because of the matchup, and even though he’s playing at home, there are five quarterbacks priced higher than him this week. The discount in salary and ownership makes Brees an elite tournament play this weekend.
