Quarterback

Chalk:

You can go in a lot of directions at quarterback this week, but it'd be surprising if Matt Ryan isn't the most popular cash game option over on FanDuel. He's the clubhouse leader in fantasy points per game this season, and he'll face off against the Packers in a game where the Falcons have the highest implied team total on the week.

Pivots:

Derek Carr, $7,800 (at Tampa Bay Buccaneers): Carr may still see decent ownership, but it shouldn't be nearly as high as Ryan's. The Raiders are in Tampa Bay for a strong matchup against the Bucs, a secondary that ranks in the middle of the pack according to our schedule-adjusted Net Expected Points (NEP) metric.

Folks may look at the Buccaneers' work in the fantasy points against category versus quarterbacks and be scared off (they rank 15th in points allowed per game to the position), but take a look at this murderers' row of quarterbacks they've faced this year: Case Keenum, Colin Kaepernick, Trevor Siemian (in a game where he was injured), and Derek Anderson.

The only two good passers they've faced -- Carson Palmer (is he even good anymore?) and Matt Ryan -- posted 24 fantasy points. Oakland has the seventh-highest implied team total on the slate, and Carr shouldn't have much trouble this weekend.
