Alex Smith, QB, Kansas City Chiefs

Speaking of quarterbacks not needing to be real-world good to be viable fantasy options -- Alex Smith has been the poster boy for that idea for years.

He has 17-plus fantasy points in three of his six starts this season, and -- while his upside may be pretty low -- he can give you solid fantasy production in the right matchup.

He's up against the Indianapolis Colts this week, who rank 30th in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play. The Colts have also allowed the league's eighth-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks, doing things like allowing Brock Osweiler to turn in his second-best fantasy performance of the season.
