The San Francisco 49ers Have Allowed a 100-Yard Rusher in Five Straight Games

The San Francisco 49ers have given up 100 or more rushing yards to an opposing running back in each of the past five games. The only exception was Week 1 when they held Todd Gurley to 47 yards on 17 carries in their shutout win over the Los Angeles Rams.

It has been even worse lately as they have allowed an opposing running back to top 130 yards rushing in each of their past three games. San Francisco has also given up nine rushing touchdowns to running backs over their past five games.

The 49ers have a Week 8 bye to figure things out before they take on the New Orleans Saints, who haven’t had a running back top 80 yards on the ground all season.
