Latavius Murray is doubtful for the Oakland Raiders in Week 5, which would leave a ton of opportunity available in the Oakland backfield. DeAndre Washington is expected to get the start if Murray sits, but Washington and Jalen Richard are expected to split the workload.

Richard has played more snaps than Washington in three of four games this season while also scoring more fantasy points than Washington on a per-snap basis.

Our metrics have Richard as the more efficient of the two, both as a rusher and receiver. Richard has put up 0.24 Rushing NEP per carry and 0.56 Reception NEP per target. Washington, on the other hand, has -0.05 Rushing NEP per carry with 0.12 Reception NEP per target.

The backs also get a great matchup this week. They will be taking on a San Diego Chargers defense that has allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs.
