Week 3 FanDuel NFL Tournament Pivots

Antonio Brown, $9,500 at Philadelphia Eagles - With all of the value plays available at running back, along with several people likely to pay down for Dennis Pitta at tight end, wide receiver appears to be the position to pay up for this week. Game script sets up for a monster game from Antonio Brown, who appears likely to be a staple in many drafters' lineups this Sunday.

Pivots:

Allen Robinson, $7,900 vs Baltimore Ravens - There's no way around it -- Allen Robinson has struggled from a fantasy perspective to start the season. After an offseason of analysts calling for regression from the Jacksonville Jaguars offense, fantasy players are beginning to worry. While his output hasn't been what we may have been expecting, he has had to deal with the coverage of Sam Shields and Jason Verrett, two of the top shutdown corners in the league.

Robinson is still seeing his usual 10 targets per game and will find himself in a much more manageable matchup against a far less impressive Baltimore Ravens secondary that just allowed Corey Coleman to torch them for 104 yards and 2 scores. Target Robinson at his depressed price tag and ownership because neither is likely to remain that way for long.

Jordan Matthews, $6,900 vs Pittsburgh Steelers - Travis Benjamin appears set to be one of the more popular plays on the slate at $6,900, which sets up perfectly for Jordan Matthews and our next receiver to be direct pivots off of him. Rostering J-Matt is also a fun way to get cheap exposure to a potential Pittsburgh Steelers-Philadelphia Eagles shootout and makes for an excellent pairing option with Brown if going for a game stack. He has balled out to begin the season, ranking 2nd in the NFL in targets, 7th in catches, and 12th in yards.

Matthews has an excellent chance to repeat his success against a secondary that struggled mightily last year and is weakest against slot receivers. Pro Football Focus has has their slot corner, Sean Davis, graded as the sixth-worst cornerback this season. Matthews is an excellent play in all formats this weekend, especially if he ends up seeing lower ownership.

Marvin Jones, $6,900 at Green Bay Packers - Marvin Jones and the Detroit Lions get to take on what has been a funnel defense so far this season, in the Green Bay Packers. 88 percent of the offensive yards allowed by the Packers thus far have been through the air, while they've stifled their opponents to a combined 78 rushing yards and 1.6 yards per carry. With top corner Sam Shields on the shelf, that trend doesn't appear set to change anytime soon.

Enter the already pass-heavy Detroit Lions, who just lost their lead-back Ameer Abdullah. Detroit already ranked ninth in pass attempts and will likely go even more pass-heavy given the game script. While this sets up nicely for Matthew Stafford, you can easily target Jones on his own and still account for a huge chunk of Detroit's passing game. Through two games, Jones has averaged 10.5 targets (27.6 percent market share), 6 catches, and 101.5 yards (33.8 percent market share). He has a very similar situation to Travis Benjamin this week, but Benjamin is likely to be the more popular option because he's the shiny new toy.
