Brian Robison, Defensive End

While we’re picking on the Packers’ terrible offensive line, Vikings’ defensive end Brian Robison was one of those left ends who earned a sack in Week 2 against them. Robison has begun to cede snaps to hyper-talented young’un Danielle Hunter but is still playing plenty for Minnesota, having been in on just 10 fewer defensive snaps than star Everson Griffen. Robison is a low-floor upside play, even at age 33: this year, he has two total tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble.

In Week 3, he and the “Purple Pain” defensive line of the Vikings take on the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers rank in the lower half of the league in sack percentage allowed and have the third-lowest stuff percentage allowed, but Robison doesn’t need a big-play to survive. The Panthers’ plan is to establish the run early and often -- they rank sixth-most run-heavy of any team on offense. If Robison can set the edge in the run game with a few tackles, he’ll pay back your waiver claim investment.

Robison is available in 99.0% of ESPN IDP leagues, and we project him for 2.70 tackles, 0.39 sacks, and a total score of 4.29 fantasy points in Week 3.
