Eli Manning, QB, New York Giants

FanDuel Price: $8,100
Salary Change: Up $900

It’s wise to look at players whose salaries have decreased since last week, but what about the opposite? How should we handle players with large increases in salary?

Eli Manning is on the massive list of players whose salaries have increased $500 or more in Week 2. Dak Prescott ($2,000), Spencer Ware ($1,400), and Tajae Sharpe ($1,200) received the biggest bumps, which isn’t surprising considering they were consensus value plays last week.

Facing the Saints’ notoriously awful defense with top cornerback Delvin Breaux out with a fractured fibula, Manning will be in one of the best matchups of the week. Add in the Vegas total of 53, the highest total on the board by three points, and we’ll likely see very high ownership in GPPs for Manning and his receivers on Sunday. You could argue, in fact, that his salary should be even higher than $8,100.

Since the beginning of the 2014 season, quarterbacks priced at $8,000 or above whose salaries have increased $900 or more since the previous week have reach cash game value 59 percent of the time -- it makes sense to use Manning in your cash game lineups this week.
