Spencer Ware, RB, Kansas City Chiefs

Really, Spencer Ware is in a similar situation to McKinnon, though Jamaal Charles is substantially better than Peterson from an advanced analytics standpoint and Ware still has to deal with Charcandrick West if Charles indeed is limited by his ACL tear from 2015.

Ware, owned in 32% of ESPN leagues, is being drafted in the 12th round of 12-team PPR drafts right now, and he was one of just two backs to post a better Rushing NEP per carry than McKinnon last year with a score of 0.20.

Further, a whopping 50% of his 72 carries led to NEP gains, compared to a still-above-average 41.25% for West, whose Rushing NEP per carry of -0.04 was in line with the league average.

Put simply: Ware is a much better runner than West is, and Charles might be slow to start the season. For the low cost, Ware is a no-brainer roster right now.
