Indianapolis Colts

The start of the Indianapolis Colts season is ripe for the picking for all fantasy owners. Out of the gate, they'll get the Calvin Johnson-less Detroit Lions offense. Our power rankings have the Lions ranked 25th and a middle-of-the-pack offense, which is ranked 18th overall. While the Lions did rank as the 16th-best offense in the league last year per our schedule-adjusted Net Expected Points (NEP) metric, they are still hoping to get tight end Eric Ebron back from a knee injury suffered in their mock scrimmage on August 6th. That could be a big loss.

But what's more important is that, following their Week 1 start against the Lions, they will get to face the Broncos, Jaguars, Texans and the Titans. That means in the first seven weeks of the year, they will face the Lions plus four additional teams that ranked 25th or worse in terms of NEP. Two of these teams (the Broncos and the Texans) will be rolling out new quarterbacks, too.

If you've got a dollar or late-round draft pick to spend and the Colts are available, grab them quickly and reap the benefits for the first half of 2016. This despite the fact that they're projected to be a bottom-half unit this year.
