Luke Kennard scores 20 points off the bench in Duke's loss
Duke Blue Devils sophomore guard Luke Kennard came off the bench for the first time this season as he scored a team-high 20 points in Monday's loss to the North Carolina State Wolfpack.
What It Means:
Kennard went 5-for-9 from the floor and 8-for-10 from the line as he played the second least (27) amount of minutes all season. Interim coach Jeff Capel merely was trying to shake up the lineup after the Blue Devils had lost two of three. The sophomore added five rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals before fouling out for the first time this year.
Kennard leads Duke in scoring with an average of 19.8 points per game while posting a .676 true shooting percentage.
