Hofstra at Northeastern

Under 142.5 (-114): 4-Star Rating

Our model sees a good amount of value on this total.

Hofstra is 178th in adjusted tempo, per KenPom. Northeastern is 166th. So, neither team plays at a super-fast pace, and while Hofstra is solid offensively, ranking 72nd on KenPom, Northeastern is downright awful at that end of the floor, checking in 288th.

The under has won out in three of Hofstra's past five road games, and just two of their past six games overall have totaled more than 137 points.

We project the total to be 136.6 points, so there's plenty of wiggle room. Our model gives the under a 63.1% chance to cash and rates it as a four-star play.

Nebraska at Michigan

Nebraska +11.5 (-110): 1-Star Rating

Michigan is better than Nebraska and is playing at home, but this line is too big.

Per KenPom, the Wolverines rank 57th overall while the Huskers slot in 98th. Our nERD metric has Nebraska 103rd and Michigan 63rd. Barttorvik ranks Michigan and Nebraska 62nd and 113th, respectively.

As I said, Michigan is better, but the Huskers, despite an 11-13 record, aren't a pushover. Nebraska just got a nine-point win over Penn State, a team ranked 52nd on Barttorvik.

Nebraska is an ugly 1-9 against the spread (ATS) in road games this year, but it's not like Michigan has been a cover machine, covering only three times over their past nine games.

We project Michigan to win 70.8-61.6. Barttorvik likes the Huskers even more, pegging the Wolverines to win by just 8.0 points. Our model has Nebraska covering 57.0% of the time, making this a one-star wager.

Citadel at Chattanooga

Chattanooga -9.0 (-114): 2-Star Rating

Chattanooga isn't very good, but they're a lot better than The Citadel is.

By nERD (201st vs. 323rd), Barttorvik (181st vs. 332nd) and KenPom (189th vs. 318th), Chattanooga is well clear of The Citadel, and the Mocs are the home team tonight.

The Citadel is 0-4 ATS over their last four outings, and Chattanooga rates better -- per Barttorvik -- both offensively and defensively.

This line opened at -8.5 and is already at -9.0 at FanDuel Sportsbook early this morning. Other books have it as high as -9.5. That's better, but it's still not big enough, according to our numbers.

We project the Mocs to win 80.7-68.2 and give them 61.6% odds of covering. Barttorvik has Chattanooga winning by 13.5. Jump on this one as it might keep moving toward the Mocs.
