Hornets unlikely to bring back GM Rich Cho next season
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Charlotte Hornets are unlikely to retain general manager Rich Cho on a new contract next season.
With Cho's contract expiring, the Hornets are expected to go in a different direction and pursue former Los Angeles Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak. He would partner with assistant GM Buzz Peterson. Owner Michael Jordan has connections with both Kupchak and Peterson. Cho has been with Charlotte since 2011.
Since Cho's come on board, the Hornets have made the playoffs just twice in 6 seasons. They're also in danger of missing this year's playoffs. Our models give them a 6.4% chance of making the top 8 by season's end.
