Player props can be useful in a variety of ways, from taking advantage of them straight up within the betting market to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy basketball.

Here we'll focus on utilizing our projections and a slew of other tools to help make money betting player props. For this article, we are using the odds provided at NBA Finals odds to pinpoint spots where value can be had tonight.

Please note that betting lines and our player projections may change throughout the day after this article is published.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Under 13.5 Rebounds (-114)

Giannis Antetokounmpo got 18 boards last time out, so it's not going to feel good to take the under on his rebounds -- especially when he might go full beast mode tonight in a huge Game 5.

But our projections point to the under being the right call.

Prior to the 18-board night in Game 4, Giannis had gone four straight games with fewer than 14 rebounds, getting single-digit boards in two of those contests. He averaged 12.6 rebounds for the season, and in seven games against the Boston Celtics this campaign (counting playoffs), he's gone over this line just once.

Our model forecasts Giannis to pull down 12.6 rebounds on Wednesday.

Desmond Bane Under 16.5 Points (-110)

I'm into the under on Desmond Bane's points prop.

Through four games of the series versus the Golden State Warriors, Bane has attempted 10, 7, 10 and 8 shots -- with his 8-attempt game coming sans Ja Morant last time out. That's vastly different than what we're used to seeing from Bane, who took at least 14 shots in five of the six games against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round, including three outings of 18-plus shots.

It sure seems like something isn't right with Bane. It's possible his back ailment might be worse than what's been reported, or maybe the Dubs' defense has taken him out of the Memphis Grizzlies' offense. Either way, Bane isn't very involved right now.

He's posted 9, 5, 16 and 8 points in the four games, and while our model projects him right at this line -- exactly 16.5 points -- I think the under is where Bane ends up.
