NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Thursday 5/27/21

Cameron Payne posted huge numbers in Game 2 and is at a modest salary tonight. Who else should you look to roster?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Donte DiVincenzo, SG, Milwaukee Bucks ($5,300)

The Milwaukee Bucks are looking to take a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Miami Heat.

Game 1 of this series was a close overtime win for the Bucks, and Game 2 was a blowout win. Two totally different games -- yet we saw consistent production from Donte DiVincenzo in both. This is great to see since he is a clear role player when it comes to the Bucks' starting lineup. In fact, he has the lowest usage rate (14.8%) among the Bucks' starters but is still able to produce 0.86 FanDuel points per minute in that time.

DiVincenzo has gone for 22 or more FanDuel points in each game in this series and is projected to exceed that tonight. numberFire's projections have DiVincenzo going for 32.69 minutes and 27.7 FanDuel points. That would be his highest output of the series, and it makes sense since this game has a solid 226.0-point over/under and 1.5-point spread.

Cameron Payne, PG, Phoenix Suns ($5,300)

After a quiet Game 1, Cameron Payne exploded in Game 2.

Payne has been a bench player for the Phoenix Suns all season, and we saw that very clearly in Game 1, when he played 12 minutes and posted 9.1 FanDuel points. Things changed in Game 2 when Payne played 33 minutes off the bench and went for 40.1 FanDuel points, getting more run due to a limited Chris Paul. Of course, we can't expect him to score 40 FanDuel points every night off the bench, but we can also expect him to produce more than 9.1 FanDuel points.

His projection falls right in the middle of that -- 28.0 FanDuel points in 26.53 minutes. He is the fourth-best overall value option on the slate and the second-best among those with a salary below $5,500. He is certainly a player you want in your lineups.
